How Angels Fall is an AU, intermediate to advanced Divergent RP. We are set after Tris and her classmates go through their Choosing Ceremony and are arriving at their chosen factions. We use the major events of the books as a guideline for the site. So that means that what happens between major events is totally character driven.
Please make sure that you register with your characters name in Proper Case. Example: Beatrice Prior, Tris Prior, or Four. We welcome you to the site and if you have any questions don't hesitate to reach out to the staff.

Banner help, application, rules, canons, and faqs templates thanks to Becky of Candyland with other codes and tweaks thanks to Ara. All apps, threads, and plots belong to their respective members of HAF. Most importantly the world of Divergent is thanks to Veronica Roth for creating such an interesting world for us to enjoy.
What was once the Sears or Willis Tower, The Hub is the centerpiece of the city; the city's tallest and most prominent building. This is where the Choosing Ceremony takes place, where children that are of the appropriate age choose what faction they will join and delegate themselves to for the rest of their lives.
Welcome to The El. The train that moves through the entirety of Chicago and what's left of the factions. It's boarded by the Dauntless children going to school. Also by the faction members who seek out ways to get to the other factions. The train rarely slows but it never stops. One must run along side it and throw themselves up inside if they want to get anywhere. Jumping from it also encouraged.
The Pier has seen better days. At one time it used to be filled with people of all ages coming out to enjoy the amusement part and Ferris Wheel that rest on the grounds. Now it's mostly just a dilapidated homage to the metal structures. They carousel works but only barely, no one even knows if the wheel will spin or not. It's a great place to play a few games of Capture The Flag.
Standing at well over one hundred stories the Hancock building has seen some history. It's one of the oldest of the abandoned buildings still standing in Chicago today. The Dauntless use it for an initiation ritual. Wherein they take the elevator in the building to the one hundredth floor and climb up a makeshift ladder to the roof of the building, through a whole in the roof. From the roof they tie themselves to a zipline and proceed to plummet back down to the ground thousands of feet away.
One of the busiest streets in old Chicago. Michigan Avenue has seen better days, like much of the city. It's the one major street that travels throughout all the faction areas, much like The El. It will always be an important and historic location within the crumbling city of Chicago.
It doesn't matter what faction you grew up in, before you reach the age of sixteen and before your aptitude testing, everyone goes to the same school. Here you learn Faction histories and math. You learn about the different factions and how they help the society that you live in grow and prosper. It is here that you make friends or stay alone in your life. At sixteen your education ends after your aptitude test, given here, and you become a part of a faction who then picks up your education.
Ran by members from the Amity group, the hospital is there to help out anyone of any faction that needs it. It's not used often, at least not by certain factions. Broken bones are a way to get here. Don't worry though the Amity don't mind helping you out, after all its the kind thing to do.
Located near the Abnegation section, the Factionless section of Chicago is not a place that many want to hang around for long. The entire sector is run down and in a state of disrepair. Members of the faction often live together in abandoned warehouses, or on the streets. It's the perfect place to go though if you want to fall off the grid for a few hours away from your faction.
